Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and music composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Mano has recorded more than 30,000 songs for various Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Oriya and Bollywood films.He has also performed for over 3000 live concerts across the continents. Notably, he has recorded 2,000 songs for music director Ilayaraja.

Voice-over dubbing:
The 2000s also saw another face of Mano as the voice-over dubbing artist in the Telugu film industry. He dubbed his voice for almost all Rajinikanth starrers in Telugu. His voice became almost synonymous with Rajinikanth and was in great demand by all the directors and producers.He also dubbed his voice for Kamal Hassan in some movies in Telugu.

Music composing and producing:
Mano has worked as a music composer for the 2008 released Telugu film Sombheri. He got good response for his compositions. He also tried his hands on producing the Tamil dubbed film Mahaa Muduru in 2010 starring Vijay and Shriya Saran in the lead roles. The film, however flopped at the box-office. He also produced two movies dubbed from Telugu to Tamil Madurai Thimiru and Kumaran Rajini Rasigan under the studio name, "Lord Venkateshwara Productions" and "Mano Media Entertainments" respectively.

Kalyan Koduri Aka Kalyani Malik is an Indian film music director and playback singer in Telugu cinema. Since achieving recognition through Chandra Sekhar Yeleti's film Aithe, Kalyan has provided musical scores for many other films. His most recent works are composing for Oohalu Gusagusalade and sound supervisor for Baahubali: The Beginning.

Kalyan Koduri started off as a chorus singer in brother M. M. Keeravani’s composition. Later it was with Sannajaji poova song from Yuvaratna composed by his brother, he was noticed as a full fledge singer. After singing quite good number of songs, for his brother, he started assisting his brother and learned the nuances of music composing. After gaining experience, his journey as a solo music director started with jingles, TV serials and finally the entry to silver screen happened with Aithe which instantly got him into limelight. This was follow by hit albums like Ashta Chemma, Ala Modalaindi, Golconda High School and Oohalu Gusagusalade.

Thotakura Somaraju and Saluri Koteswara Rao, popularly known as Raj-Koti was an Indian film music composers, singer-song writers, record producers, musicians and multi-instrumentalists duo in Telugu Cinema, In a notable career spanning a decade, the duo has garnered particular acclaim for redefining contemporary Telugu film music. They composed maximum 3000 songs. In those songs, 2,500 songs were sung by singers S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and K. S. Chithra.[1][2]

Composer A. R. Rahman has worked as a key board player for the duo Raj-Koti for eight years.[3][4] In a television interview aired on ABN Andhrajyothy, the duo announced that they are teaming up again in 2012 and reinstate the Raj-Koti brand

He is mostly referred to as S. P. B. or Balu. He has won the Guinness World Record for recording the highest number of songs.He has garnered six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer, and twenty five Nandi Awards for his works towards Telugu cinema.

He has recorded over 40,000 songs in various Indian languages.He has won National Film Awards across four languages, as well as a Bollywood Filmfare Award, five Filmfare Awards South, and numerous state awards from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Ravindra Prasad Patnaik is a South Indian music composer with about 60 films to his credits in three south Indian languages (Telugu, Tamil and Kannada).He won three Filmfare Awards and three Nandi Awards.

Patnaik had entered the film industry with a desire to become a film director, and began first as a music director. It was after cinematographer-turned-director Teja gave him a break,that Patnaik made his directorial debut with the 2008 film Andamaina Manasulo.As of March 2016, he finished his fifth Telugu language film Tulasi Dalam.

Chakradhar "Chakri" Gilla (15 June 1974 – 15 December 2014) was an Indian music composer and singer in Tollywood films. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for Satyam (2003).

Chakri composed music for around 85 movies. He started his career as music director with the movie Bachi directed by Puri Jagannadh. As a composer he introduced many new talents (Singers and Lyricist). He won best singer award for Satyam in the Tollywood Filmfare Awards and a Nandi Award for Simha.


He is generally considered to have hits in the month of January, which is considered to be Sankranthi (a Telugu festival) season in Andhra Pradesh. This is due to movies such as Devadasu (2006), Desamuduru (2007), Krishna (2008) and Maska (2009) in straight years during Sankranthi. He gave many musical hits to Ravi Teja and director Puri Jagannadh, working on 8 films with the former and 10 films with the latter.

Death:
According to media reports, Chakri didn't wake up from bed on 15 December morning despite repeated attempts by his wife Sravani. Suspecting something wrong, she immediately took him to nearby hospital where doctors pronounced his death at around 7:45 AM. Chakri had been suffering from obesity and related ailments. His death was most likely due to heart attack. Chakri's untimely death has shaken the Telugu film industry.

Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974) was an Indian film, composer, playback singer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, and a few Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films. In 1970, he received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award for his contribution to Indian cinema. According to The Hindu and The Indian Express, Ghantasala was "Such a divine talent and with his songs he could move the hearts of the people." "Ghantasala's blending of classical improvisations to the art of light music combined with his virtuosity and sensitivity puts him a class apart, above all others in the field of playback singing".""Gifted with what Indian Film Historian V. A. K. Ranga Rao called "the most majestic voice", Ghantasala helped Telugu film music develop its own distinct character which remains unparalleled". He is referred to as the "Gaana Gandharva" for his mesmerising voice and musical skills.

Ghantasala performed in the United States, England and Germany, and for the United Nations Organisation. The government of Andhra Pradesh marked the occasion of 25 years of his film career as Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Ghantasala in Hyderabad on 1 February 1970. More than 30,000 people attended the function held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium, Hyderabad.Ghantasala continues to be popular. Statutes of his likeness have been installed across Andhra Pradesh. Every year, the anniversaries of his birth and death are celebrated in India and overseas.

The Ghantasala Puraskar Award 2014, given every year by Sharan Incorporation, has been conferred on Rao Bala Saraswathi Devi, who was the first Telugu playback singer.The Government music college in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, is named after Ghantasala.Ghantasala Sangeetha Kalasala college in Hyderabad and Vizag offers six-month and one-year diploma courses on Ghantasala's light music, songs and music.

Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy (About this sound pronunciation (help·info)) is an Indian musical trio consisting of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. Composers who have composed music for over 50 soundtracks across five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and English. Among the most critically acclaimed Indian musicians,The trio have won numerous awards, including National Film Award (India), Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards. They are often referred to as the "Amar Akbar Anthony" of Hindi film music industry by many people including eminent critic Rajeev Masand.

Shankar Mahadevan:
Shankar Mahadevan was born and brought up in Chembur, a suburb of Mumbai,in a Tamil Iyer family from Kerala.He learned Hindustani classical music and Carnatic music in his childhood and started playing the veena at the age of five. He studied under Srinivas Khale, a popular Marathi music composer. After graduating in 1988 with a degree in Software Engineering from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology in Navi Mumbai under the auspices of Mumbai University, he worked as a software engineer on Oracle Version Six. He is the main vocalist of the trio. After working for a while for Leading Edge Systems, Shankar ventured into the field of music.He earned his first award as a playback singer in a Tamil movie, collaborating with A. R. Rahman and winning a National Film Award for his song in Kandukondain Kandukondain. A prominent star in Tamil cinema, he gained further recognition upon the release of his first music album, Breathless, in 1998.

Ehsaan Noorani:
Ehsaan Noorani is the lead guitarist of Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Having studied music with Bismarck Rodrigues from a young age. Prior to going abroad to study further music at MIT, L.A, Ehsaan was an integral part of two local bands in Mumbai, Pegasus and Crosswinds. Ehsaan returned to Mumbai and was in demand for his musical skills in composing jingles, working for all the top composers of the time. Until the day Magic Box productions approached him to compose the jingle for Sona Spices, and that marked the beginning of Ehsaans independent journey as a composer of jingles in India.

Ehsaan was approached by the late Mukul Anand to compose the music for his film 'Dus', and he in turn asked Shankar and Loy to join him in composing the music for the film. Unfortunately 'Dus' never made it to the big screen, due to the untimely demise of the director.


Ehsaan is the only Indian musician to have endorsed a signature line 'The Ehsaan Noorani Fender Squire' signature series Fender guitars, one of the largest and most reputed guitar manufacturers in the world.

Loy Mendonsa:

Loy Mendonsa is a multi-instrumentalist who plays the piano, bass guitar, harmonica and is currently learning to play the trumpet. Loy was a genius music teacher for a school in New Delhi, when he was invited to write the music for the show 'Quiz Time' by Siddharth Basu, who gave him his first break. Loy then went on to compose the title track for 'The World This week' and for the Shahrukh Khan TV serial 'Fauji'. Loy moved to Bombay, met Ehsaan in 1989 and together they composed several ad jingles.
